Nomsa Buchholz is a Black artist of German and South African heritage. She grew up in Germany and East Africa and has lived in the UK and the US.

Her artistic practice has included a range of media throughout her career, from paper engineering to beadwork and block printing. For the past eight years her primary medium for creative expression has been clay, in which she creates both sculptural and functional works through hand-building and wheel-throwing. Her experience as a Third Culture Kid informs her work - with an MA in African and North American studies, Nomsa draws from theories and histories of identity, culture and belonging in her work.

Nomsa is currently practicing in Berlin, Germany.
